How to Reach Tarragona

By plane

Buses	Cost: €2. Travel Time: 15 min. Schedule (pdf). There are buses laid on to coincide with the flight arrivals and departures going to the city of Reus (train station) as well.	Direct to Tarragona The bus stop is located in T1 (Terminal 1). Tickets are available from the bus driver. Cost: 12.35 euros one-way, 22.20 euros round-trip. Travel Time: one hour. see the link down in this page for timetables. A free shuttle bus connects T1 with T2 every 5 minutes. For people arriving in the night in Barcelona, when there is no public transport to Tarragona, there could be a solution to take the aerobus to Barcelona city center to some hotel or hostel.
Trains to Tarragona	Please consult RENFE page (English).	In T2 there is a train station. A local train takes us to Barcelona Sants (alternatively consult RENFE page). After that we go to Tarragona, see the link down in this page for details.

Other available airports might be also Lleida (at about 90 Km.) and Girona (180 Km. from Tarragona).

By train

From Barcelona Sants to Tarragona there are two options. One along the coastline and the other for high-speed trains stopping in Camp de Tarragona. The first option is generally most recommended, it is cheaper, and the total traveling time is comparable, although the high speed trains take only 30 minutes to arrive to Camp de Tarragona, we need other 20 minutes by bus, not to mention the waiting time for the bus. Only people coming from Madrid and other places in Western or North Spain or people who arrive late in Barcelona may decide to go to Camp de Tarragona. On the coastline we can take regional trains (final destination to Tortosa, Mora d'Ebre, Reus, Valencia, Zaragoza) as well as long distance trains. The trip takes about one hour. Notice that the last regional train departs at 21:30. The price of a ticket is about 7 euros for regional trains and 20 euros for long distance trains.
High speed trains situate Tarragona to 30 minutes from Barcelona or Lleida. The train station Camp de Tarragona is 20-25 minutes (by bus) far away from Tarragona. An AVE tourist ticket is about 35 euros while an AVANT ticket is only 15 euros. Please consult the bus table from Camp de Tarragona to Tarragona down in this page.

The last train from Barcelona to Tarragona is at 22:20, after that only in the morning at 6:00 there is another train. The train stations are closed during the night.
