Instructions for Authors

Your paper will be published in the LNCS proceedings of the conference. Please take carefully into account the suggestions of the reviewers and upload the final version by next February 8 to:

http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=lata2010

For detailed instructions about the LNCS format, please consult:

http://www.springer.com/computer+science/lncs?SGWID=0-164-6-793341-0

Download the llncs2e.zip file on the right-hand side menu. All the instructions for the layout of the paper are given there (with an example of an article on pages 15-23 after compiling the .tex source).

Due to time restrictions in editing the volume, you are kindly asked to follow EXACTLY ALL the instructions (hence frontmatter fields, format, bibliography, etc.). The use of the bibtex format together with the style splncs.bst provided by Springer is strongly recommended. There is a strict limit of 12 pages for regular contributions. This limit can not be surpassed in any case. Files to be uploaded include the copyright form too, which can be obtained from the Springer website mentioned above. Note that for the copyright form we have:

  • Title of the Volume: Language and Automata Theory and Applications, Fourth International Conference, LATA 2010
  • Volume Editors: Adrian-Horia Dediu, Henning Fernau, Carlos Martín-Vide

In case of technical problems, please contact adrian.dediu (at) urv.cat.

Finally, please notice that at least one author per paper should register. Papers that do not have a registered author who paid the fees by next February 15 will be excluded from the proceedings. This will be strictly enforced. Follow the updated directions about the registration and payment procedure at:

LATA 2010 registration page

Please notice that those who will register as students will need to show the proof of their status (student ID or university certificate) at the beginning of the conference.
